Just throwing it out there if anyone hasn't mentioned it (I didn't read it all) the ticking noise you can hear is the propellor in the starter motor being thrown into position to spin the flywheel/ ring gear and retracting back into the starter motor. This is because it needs alot of charge to hold that position and still spin so that's why it continuously throws into place and retracts immediately, there simply isn't enough power to start the car.

I chucked in a new Supercharge Gold battery and now she runs great and starts everytime~!
