OK, does anyone have a spare, stock pipe (or could get one) that could be sent to the supplier for them to build it from?

ok im up in mackay in north qld and as long as i get it back hahah

if you replace the whole pipe (including the box in front of the throttle body) you need 2 90 degree bends a 45 and like 150 maybe 200 of straight pipe

Hey, guys.
I've gone off-track with this. having bathroom reno's, etc done at home and just haven;t had the time.
plus having my car out of action for a month with thegearbox and diff issues.

I'll actually be working withone of the local guys here in Hobart (Mechanic, Fabricator, Tuner) and i'll have him fab up a stainless inatke like the one Brad88 built
Image

I'll chat with him on building a Jig and how much he'd charge to knock up a few if that's what people want.

after some lengthy discussions with some engineering (fluids) friends, no-one can really see a point or real world benefit behind the big plastic box before the throtle body.

also, just looking at it, jou could easily DIY that intake with off the shelf stainless (or alloy) or silicone bends and joiners. with no welding needed.

i have ended up heat wrapping mine and it made a huge difference again.

i think the pipe got to something like 75 degrees on the temp gun after hard driving when it wasn't wrapped.

i put up a quick run through on how i made mine (might be a bit hard to follow burt exactly how i made mine) so if you have any questions just ask :)
