3.0 front grill differs to the 2.0r, 2.5i & GT front grill.

And 3rb pre-facelift 04-06 are different to 3rb post-facelift 07-09.

Pre facelift outback grille doesn't fit pre facelift 2.0r, 2.5i or GT. No idea about anything else.

Bumping this thread - has anyone imported a pre-facelift r-b grille from Japan?

Can anyone comment on whether this will wit an Australian 2005 r-b?

https://www.japanparts.com/parts/detail/17105

what about this one?

https://www.japanparts.com/parts/detail/2964

More importantly, which one looks better?

It's really annoying how hard it is to find this particular bit for this particular car.

they will both fit pre face libs so yes for 2005, personally i like the mesh grill the other one is too ricer plus would need painting to match body color

The issue is more that 3.0r/r-bs have different grille sizes to the turbos in Australia as I understand it - there are posts here and elsewhere of people getting the wrong size because they get the 'standard' one not the one that fits the 3.0r.

Yet that page lists:

For Model A〜C 2.0GTspecB、3.0RspecB、3.0R.

Am I correct in thinking that a Japanese "2.0GTspecB" would have the same grille size as the Australian 3.0r-b?

On reflection I think I like the Corazon look better, minus the badge. The oem one looks a little bit Falcon XR6 for my taste.

There is no size differences between different models like the 3.0r, gt, as long as they are within the same sub series. (pre or post facelift)
.
There is only a difference between pre facelift and post facelift grills.

You'd be wrong on that count mate..

Pre facelift 2.0r, 2.5i and GT differ to the 3.0 and 3.0 Spec B. As for post facelift, I'm not sure.

Japanparts have a few different options available if you go for the Corazon (which I think you should, I had one and they look awesome!)

The grille that lists the 2.0 GTspecB (applied model A-C) in it's item compatibility will fit your pre facelift 3.0r-b. There is another grille available on Japanparts for applied model A-C but that fits the 2.5i and GT.

Oh and PS; in Japan applied model A-C will always be for a pre facelift model. Applied model D-F will always be for a post facelift model.

Hmmm i'm very surprised there is a difference in grill sizes between pre face models... as for post face i'm 100% sure they are all compatible between models.
