Wanting Raptor H6 CAI

Postby jackhinkley » Mon Feb 05, 2018 2:15 pm

Hi guys, I'm after a CAI set for my '05 Spec B Liberty and Tim unfortunately doesn't make them any more. Is anyone selling a used system, or has anyone had experience with other options?

There were only 6 produced - eventually you must get lucky

1 is in NZ, the other 5 in AU

Ah. I knew you stopped making them but I didn't realise that the run was so limited; I didn't think there's be much of a payoff for the design investment for so few to be made. I guess my luck is up, I'm super keen if ever you decide to make more for any reason though.

I, too, am wanting a CAI. Is there any way I can be notified when they come into stock?

I will report it here on the CAI thread.

A very limited run will be made - maybe 8 items, however if I can get confirmed orders I may increase that a little

I fitted mine over two years ago and Matt tuned it to suit my car and I can say that it has performed flawlessly. It's not noisy and under bonnet you'd think that it was done from the factory, so cudos to Tim at Raptor. You do need the tune so factor that in when you get it. Don't try driving around before Tim tunes it because it will upset your AFM and possibly lean out, that's the increase in airflow it gives. I would love to have a E85 tune with the CAI fitted as this would be the highest level of tune on a NA H6 possible, with Raptor headers of course.

Rob - appreciate the owner feedback

As Rob said, you must have the tune installed at the same time you fit the intake or engine damage will occur. This has always been the case, you book your tune with Matt and you install the CAI when you get tune file

Rob, check with Matt, E85 and RAM CAI may soon be compatible, some work around coming into being apparently

Im pretty keen on the ram intake, getting my headers installed in the next few weeks, do you recommend changing cats out to high flow 200 cel at the same time? I was going to keep the standard cats, but will change if necessary for the cai
