So I am looking for a bit of insight about if there are any small subtle differences between the entire engine of an Auto 3.0R and one out of a manual. I am staring a situation in the face that could involve swapping the two (have found a good quality, good value EZ30 out of an auto for sale)
This question comes to mind because I remember hearing something a while back about a "bump plate" on 2.5T engines, which would be put on a manual engine to cover one of the pulleys so the belt didn't come out? Now I know the EZ30 has chains instead (does it still apply?) but it's these kind of things I am looking out for.
Additionally, any info on what is involved in installing the flywheel into the auto engine? (I have limited knowledge of auto trannys haha)
Thanks in advance guys,
Alex
