by the sound of it MobBoss its getting bolted straight in and getting a turbo whacked on with low boost.
with a gt35R with 7-8psi should see north of of 230kw atw.
should go alright by the sound of it.

Well in the end I've bought two of these EG33's for 750 and 850 accordingly. One will a test engine and the other will be the 600 hp version, incorporating all the things "not what to do" learnt from the first engine.

I dont fully understand this uncertainty you have about it? Its not like there isnt turbo EG33's with varying displacements driving around, and there have been several built in nsw and qld over the years.

Good on you for jumping right in though, a+

Got any links to those built EG33 motors in action? Most of the ones I find are the ones that had big hopes and dreams but died mid build and ended up for sale. Rigoli's is about the only one I can really find.

Uncertainty - over the years I've pushed stock EJ's well past what most people thought (and still think) is possible. I think the EG33 has massive potential stock but thinking is very different to doing, trust me :D

Hi All,

Just for the record my car has done 40k kms and its largely the same as demoboss' car. Mine is a wagon though. Touch wood no issues so far? Does that mean this set up has 72k kms of proven testing? We are pretty close the magic 100k kms?

Can't be sure matey. It all depends on what sorta turbo you want and how you source it i.e secondhand or brand new. Also the expensive bits or moreover, the cost additive components that inevitably push the 'budget envelope' are things like the inevitable clutch upgrade +/- other drivetrain/line upgrades, ECU crack and upgrade or replacement and of course tuning time/dyno time.
