the only reason i have for not wanting to go with OEM is because apparently they're rediculously expensive...
How old were they before you transplanted the engine into your Gen 2? Guess I should check the mounts on mine (almost 110k)

picked up my spare H6 the other night. $500 with blown headgasket.
blaven -> i see what you mean by engine mounts bolting on.
wonder what the yanks are doing for them, as i spoke with a bloke in US the other day about ARP headstud.
Got a set he sells that rate to 1000hp @ the crank.. i will email and find if he has a solution. 8)

the motor (my05) only had 5000km (not a typo) on it when i got it... although it was out of a crash test car, so that may be the cause of the problem...

though i doubt AM auto (who did the conversion) would have put busted mounts in my car... i'd want to hope not anyway...

i was thinking i would probably have to go American with parts (their car culture shits all over ours, probably because of the difference in the number of people who live there), like i did with my short shifter, and like i'll have to when i want parts to turbo my motor... (already priced up rods/pistons from US companies)

i've heard of aftermarket ej mounts being used in an ez, but they have to be modified in some way i believe... to be honest, i've never held up an ej mount to the motor to see where or how it compares with bolt up points... perhaps it's something i should try

Vaccine, that'd be awesome if you could check for me!

post up on nasioc and see what the yanks are doing.
there are quite a few making 1000hp from the H6.
i would summise that they would have to change the mounts yeh?
