MY07-09 2.5i Fuel Consumption

How much do you guys get out of a full tank on average?
Also does anyone find that when parking your car on an upward slope and you turn your car on, the fuel gauge reads less than it should?

Around 10.0 to 10.5L/100Kms mixed driving.

Yes that is normal when parking on a slope, for all cars.

City driving 8.5-9.5km/L

Out from town(highway): 11km/L, best result I did get is 12.5km/L

Depends on your right foot/driving style.

Cheers

WOAH! For a second there i was thinking WDF?? You use more when on the highway??? Then i realised you are using km per L as opposed to L/100km.

I get around the 9.5 mark for mixed driving. But lately I have been getting really poor economy. Must be my driving style lately. The best I've got is 7.8L/100kms and that was on the Hume from Melbourne to Sydney.

Hahaha.. Yes I used KM/L.

But then yes, the actual best result is 7.8L/100KM. Pretty good for 2.5L car with AWD system which is pretty heavy.

Cheers

As a new member of these forums I couldn't help giving this thread a little bumpage :?

Living in an inner city area in Perth I normally get around 9.6-10.4L/100km in daily driving, but on our annual pilgrimage to Margaret River I have been as low as 6.9L/100km...I'll see if I can't top that on my next trip down in a few weeks (just had the Liberty serviced, new battery and tyres).

My highway best was last thursday got it 15.9 Km/L. sitting @ 105-110Kmh for approx 60 mins.

Used to be heaps lower but recently added injector cleaner and replaced air-the filter. Plus it goes heaps better since i got my LEDS  Thanks to Leo.

I get between 9 and 9.8L/100KM around town. Don't do much (if any) freeway/country driving.

You replaced the air filter (better air for the engine) and did the injector clean (better flow?) and your fuel consumption has gone up? I would have thought it would have gone down.

i get 8.2-8.4 on highway+city driving thats when i am constantly watching my revs keeping it to 3,000rpm max. best way to keep your fuel consumption down if anyone wanted to know :D, might be different for manuals but for my 08 2.5i i get around 8.2/8.4L/100km when im watching my rev limit

maybe the ears are enjoying the sounds and prompting your right foot to make the intake noise louder :D
