Where to buy 17inch tyres for 2008 2.5i station wagon?

I just had the car serviced and they said the tyres are worn on the outside, and that they should be replaced. My car (despite being in for the 25,000km service) has done less that 17,000kms, shouldn't the tyres have lasted longer? The car is mostly driven in the city (Sydney).

They said they could replace them for $450 a tyre! Because they're 17inch tyres. ಠ_ಠ

Can anyone recommend a tyre for the Subaru 2008 2.5i station wagon and a place to buy it from?

Toyo Eco plus, I paid about $150 each for mine.

There's no way a 17" should cost $450 unless you're going for some exotic racing / performance rubber which is a massive overkill on a NA.

You'd think so. But I used to own a Mazda Eunos 800, and the previous owner left behind a receipt for x4 replacement 17" tires from their local dealership. $650 each! Yikes!

But yeah, go to an outside shop to get tires and such.

Go to tempe tyres and speak to sam.

They got original subaru tyres, RE050's around $200 a piece or you can get new wheels and tyres a set, only $800.

Thanks
