Hey mate, ive had hks, k&n and the standard filter. In terms of performance dont expect any gains maybe just a little more induction noise on the aftermarket filters. I stuck with k&n in the end as they wash and clean better with the k&n cleaning kit than the dry type filters IMO, also ive had no problem with the oil from the filter affecting anything though that being said my car is a my06 and does not have a mass airflow meter mounted on the intake box.

Cheers.

I don't think that STi panel filter is re-usable, so if you're after longevity, you should continue to stick with the Apexi, HKS, K&N, etc. If you're after performance, there will be no difference between all the brands anyway.

Alright then, I stick to the HKS.

How about the maintanance? HKS clean using normal warm water or needed a special chemical from HKS?

Thanks

Ok then.

Before I buy from Phat GT, I would like to know, which one actually to replace it?

(see the picture), Is it left one or top mounted one(in the middle near windscreen)?

Is it true to open the top mounted one must using key 10-12? Because it's bolted.

Thanks

Thanks mate.

So how about in the middle? Is it another filter or something?

I saw to change air filter, it's a bit complicated(in the DIY page).

Thanks

Perhaps you should just stick to the air filter for now.

there is no filter in the top box

there is only one air filter mounted in the front drivers side corner which is a less than 1min job to change
