Hey,

in the market for a sub liberty, had a test drive today and pretty keen, but one question is about the cruise control.

Is it a basic set speed and that is all? I noticed no buttons to increase speed or decrease, does this mean each time you want to do so you need to dengage the cruise control and reset it at the new speed. Pretty stupid to go up or down 2KM

Please tell me this isn't the case, cause if it is the cruise control is pretty useless :(

edit: are there any online versions of the owners manuals?

You can decrease/increase the speed by tapping the stalk up and down. I think the increments are 1.5kph. Or if you want to increase/decrease by a large amount quickly, then all you do is accelerate to the new speed then press SET again, or alternatively brake to lower speed then set SET again.

In addition, if you hold the lever in the SET/COAST position, the car will coast until you release the lever at which point it will cruise to that speed. Similar if you hold the lever up in the RES/ACC position, the car will accelerate (at something like 30-40% of WOT I guess) until you release the lever. Again, the speed at which you release will be the new set point that it will cruise at.

That is exactly how I thought it worked, the guy I was test driving the car from today said you need to disengage it, looks like he never worked out how to use it :)

oh i also found this out, with cruise control u can acclerate faster by just gearing down xD for autos that is for example. for my car 4 speed auto, to accel faster i just down gear to 2 or 3 and then press RES/ACC to get faster acceleration instead of slow accleration by pressing the RES/ACC in 4th gear.
