We talking 2.5 Auto GT?

Well, "recommended" wouldn't be the word to use but here's what you can do for a start. Basic rule of mods are to make the engine breathe easier/faster - so, air filter (the std air filter and box set up is pretty good btw), exhaust and maybe an ECU mod/retune(whatever is available).

From there you can move on to bigger turbos, bigger intercooler, fueling, etc etc.

found anything yet?

i dont think its worth engine modding the 2.5i engine...esp auto form.

i regret buying auto cuz it doesnt hold gear even in manual mode. but the MY08 has stabily control only on the auto which is good for those unexpecting mishaps.

otherwise, id upgrade brakes... atm im looking for better calipers, i think the wrx ones twin piston ones are an improvement and perhaps maybe bigger rotors for bling. just mod ur handling. ive put a upper front strut bar in, and to be honest, it might only change the rigidity a little, i cant tell as yet. let me know what you've done.

ive done nothing except a change in filter. sport mode (ie pushing it to the right and leaving it) does hold the gears for trackwork if needed. the brakes are good, even under alot of hard braking

How do you mean it won't hold gear? If you have it in auto and change the gear with the steering wheel, it will revert back to auto after a while.

You need to be in sport mode and then change gear for it to be in full manual mode. For me, my car hits rev limiter if I forget that I left it in full manual. haha

lol.. auto talk.. how cute ;)

If you're in 'sport shift' 'tip-tronic' mode or whatever they call it these days.. you can hold it in gear..

But the feel still isn't as good as a manual.. and it feels more of a novelty because of the lack of feel (in my opinion)

I would easily forget what gear i've been changing it up or down to and it would be a pain in the arse to keep looking at the dash to check what gear your in.

Going up gears is fine, just when you brake you forget you're still high up because it's an auto.. lol

lol, the difference is, when you push the gearstick(or wateva its called) to the right, the sport sign lights up. However, this does practically nothing, as the thing still shifts by itself and imo holds gears alot longer. I personally call it tiptronic only when you hit the gearstick upwards to activate the 'tiptronic' mode. In this mode, you can shift gears 'manually'. However, the thing still shifts itself when im just about to hit cutoff. ie when im flooring it on first gear all the way, the comp shifts it to second, alhough i didnt touch the gearstick. Compare this to the accord euro, where i can i-vtec first gear and it will stay at cutoff till the comp works out after 1 or 2 seconds, thats its cutoff and shifts. and adrian, dont talk unless you got an auto.hahahha 8)
