Gen 3 N/A won't start - CEL flashing

Hi Guys

My son is overseas and his car (Gen 3 N/A 2.5lt) man) hasn't been started for a week or two.

I went to start it last night and it turned over and started for a second or two then died with CEL flashing. This happened two or three times.

Engine will now turn over but won't start? With ignition in on position, CEL light is flashing.

Any ideas/help? It was running fine when he last drove it before leaving Oz.

There are some connectors under the drivers side of the dash.
You can connect them and the CEL light will flash you the Trouble Code number.
If you want this info send me a Pm with your email and I will extract the section from the FSM for the Gen3 diagnostics.
