2.5i 100,000 kay service

No.2 Junior's MY09 2.5i Liberty Wagon had recently ticked over the 100,000 kay mark.

We did the major service and changed out the original NGK Platinum PFR5B spark plugs with equivalent NGK Iridium IFR6 units.
Two of the original PFR5B plugs had little or no centre electrode remaining? The gap on them was about 2mm.
Engine was still running with them.

So much for a 100,000 kay service interval for the plugs?
