Serious power window fault

Postby minigoat » Fri Feb 06, 2015 4:33 pm

Hi guys,

My problem is somewhere in my drivers side power window control box, intermittently (every few weeks) my power windows and central locking switch will stop working, along with all of the lights that come on in all of the doors power window switches, none of them work, no sounds are emitted from the box or motors, just nothing at all. I have taken the box apart and checked all the circuitry, and it all seems to be working but in the car it's completely dead.

Anyone have any experience with similar problems?

Try checking your relay under dash could something as simple as that. Unless you took it completely apart and know how damaged diodes and resistors are measured itd be pretty hard to know

Also you havent just bumped the window cutout button on the drivers power window switch panel?

Could it be a broken wire where the loom passes from the pillar to the door?
