Is it worth the time???

Postby Interim Duplicity » Tue Oct 28, 2014 9:47 am

Simple and straight forward question here guys.

The 2.5i engine, is it worth modifying?

Is the lack of power negligible, or do people find the car mostly underwhelming?

Is it worth forking out the extra cash to get a 3.0?

Cheers.

ugh, when I was a P plater it was just the power to weight laws, which we all laughed about, because as long as your car in standard form was under, you were all good! I drove a >200kw atw 180sx on my Ps.

The 3L is an excellent engine, and you can always supercharge it after you come off your Ps.

I would go for the H6 if I could choose again.

Get a nice e85 tune on it.

That is so unheard of now, modified cars in Vic at the moment is comparable to satanism. That I can ;)

The things my friend ;) did then would get you arrested and your car crushed now. Ah, good times.

Yeah, Auto and kido tuned running ethanol.

It dissapoints me occasionally. That's why I'm collecting parts for a custom turbo setup. Already have a td04 and stock turbo back exhaust. I'll get it some boost and then I think I'll be happy with it.

If an E85 tuned 2.5i is disapointing then i couldn't see me being able to do anything with it haha. Good luck with your turbo man.
