Hey Just had my 100,000Km service on my 2.5 man wagon ...mechanic did oils ,gearbox oil diff etc and belts and did plugs what Im wondering is-
Is it ok to use iridiums in a non turbo? My car feels different since he did this service ( bit jerky not smooth ? ) that is what he used he said they are better than standard plugs ? Is this right ? I do heaps of highway kms and he said I would get more life out of them than standard ones ..He is a good mechanic and does a good job normally just since this service my car seems abit different and I assume its the plugs he used.

Gap might be set for a turbo (0.8mm) instead of the 1.1mm for n/a.

Iridium plugs are designed for engines where plug access is a prick and provide longer life, thats it

The spark plugs in my MY09 2.5i Liberty Wagon are NGK Platinum Plugs.
First service at 100,000km.
PFR5B-11 if I remember correctly.

So, your post facelift liberty with VVL may have never had "standard plugs".
It is not imaginable that an Iridium equivalent of these are not compatible.
