I hate to say this but not much you can do with an N/A, unless you really want to go berserk and bolt on a supercharger (like myself and one other forum member).
however, it is more economical now to get a GT.
2004 Black 2.5 Supercharged Liberty Sedan
2006 Blue 3.0R-B Liberty Wagon
1998 Silver 2.5 Bilstein Edition Liberty Sedan
1998 Dark Blue 2.5 Liberty Wagon
1994 White 1.3 Suzuki Swift Sedan
1998 Light Blue 2.6 Turbo Diesel Land Rover Discovery Tank

If it were an MY07+ you could have tuned the ECU and gained 10% improvement in power and torque, making the car much more driveable and you can still have a lot of fun. Sadly, your MY04 ECU is not flashable - you'd have to go aftermarket.

If you had an H6 Liberty (which is P-Plater legal and flashable), a tune alone with no extra hardware mods makes the car more powerful than a stock WRX, and no-one would be the wiser.

If you like to DRIVE your car, however, then there's a host of mods you can do to improve handling and braking - swaybars front & rear, GT/Brembo brakes front & rear, STi master brake cylinder, braided brake lines, coilovers, etc. Check out my profile thread to see what I've done to my own 2.5i.

Depends on what you intend to do, but for street and occasional track work, BR BC Racing coilovers are popular. Check out the posts from the commercial vendors here.
