so since ive got this car ive been watching my information panel, when i floor it it drops below 5L/100km when i let go, slowly it gets higher to maximum of 50L/100km.

Cruising on the highway i get around 17L/100km and my average is about 20.7L/100km.

Now i do have a faulty information panel it flashes from time to time, could that be an issue?

What is going on? bad o2 sensor ?

Can someone help a brother out ;)

Is it the Km/L or L/100Km display? The early 04/05 had an inverse value

Hey man, has the performance changed at all and is it actually using more fuel? My average L/100kms rises steadily when the cars not running and the key's in the on position  (not sure if related though).

I believe I still get +600km on a tank. Performance I'm not too sure. I only just started using that feature

I wouldn't worry about it too much then. Most of the subie displays I've had contact with weren't that reliable. :P I only get under 450kms a tank though... If you're really desperate about it, you could probably pull it apart and look at the components and soldering behind it...many people have had dry solder joints that made their displays glitchy and just required heating up the joint again.

I've seen a post about fixing the flashing unit. I've soldered it again. Still it's screwed. It's just scary thinking a 2.5 drinks 20l/100 I'd prefer a h6 :D

It seems like you may have the wrong mode mister. On my lib I have (while cycling using the disp button)

1) Kms to empty tank
2) time since ignition was in the start position
3) outside temp
4) Current L/100kms (fluctuates with acceleration/speed/conditions etc.)
5) L/100kms from trip meter distance (changes between trips through trip meter controls on your dash)

Hope this helps!
