hey guys my engine light cruise control and traction light wont turn off when i re-flash them with my obd2 tool,my car is a 2008 liberty 2.5i has had an engine change with a 2006 liberty 2.5i post facelift model,i get error code p0026 and p0028 on my code reader, when i re-flash the car and start the car everything is fine just until i drive the lights come back on
my auto elec told me i had to change the engine but i don't see why it would be different? apparently my engine doesn't have the intake valve
any suggestions please reply cheers guys

Go and talk to someone who knows Subarus. Docklands Subaru perhaps. Sounds like an AVLS (Active Valve Lift System) and if so it's not something you can fix at home in 5 mins with a can of WD40.

Different engines and different ECU tunes. Your new engine wil not last long on the 08 ECU tune either.
You could flash a new tune in to disable the codes but the ignition timing and fuel maps are not desinged for that engine.

I can take a look at both ECU's and look at disabling the CEL and seeing if the 06 tune can be ported over to the 08 ECU easily enough. Did you fit the entire motor?
Alternative is fitting the 08 heads to the 06 bottom end

I looked at the ECU tunes, I can organise to have the 06 software loading into the 08 ECU
