Spark Plug Seals

Postby Pyr0m4n14c44 » Wed Oct 23, 2013 6:53 am

Hey everyone,
I went to my mechanics yesterday for a major service, and after was all set and done, he said that the spark plug seal is starting to leak. I looked up a video which made me think that this is a big job, how much do you guys reckon this job would be, price wise?

I have a 2000 2.5 RX

Thanks forum,
Andrew

Sequential twins are fun, nothing like letting your guard down then getting a swift kick in the arse at high revs.

I called up Subaru this morning, they said the repairs were gonna cost $443. Personally I thought it was a good deal because I was expecting 600+, what do you guys reckon?

They take about an hour to replace both sides, at most. A private workshop would be cheaper.

Non tutbos are rather simple as there is a lot more room in the engine bay
