Strange Noise

Warmed up my car as normal before I left work,
Got all the way home almost... 30mins
Changed down gear from 4th to 3rd and hear a vibrating metal noise, hard to hear due to twin x-force exhaust droning it out
But only really hear it when taking my foot off the gas at about 3000rpms
No Clutch slipping in any gear.
Wondering if it might be an exhaust leak or weld brake maybe?
Any Ideas???

exhaust heat-shields most likely, or exhaust touching something.
what clutch do you have?

Not sure on the Clutch... I'm guessing standard original? but its a big guess...
Doesn't slip in any gear and pedal no where near the floor...
Don't hear the Metal rattle at 4000 rpm but I'm guessing it gets droned out at that stage.

Probably just a heat shield. They're renowned for it.

+1
Jack the car up and tap on the heat shields with the tip of screwdriver. I've thrown all of mine away. Chances are that all of the soft metal nuts have corroded away and will strip when you try to take em off. Have fun.
