DIY Servicing

Hey guys.

Just wanted to share a website that I just discovered which sells timing belt kits reasonably cheap.
I found it because a mechanic mate of mine said that if I supply him with the gear and a case'o'beer then he'll do the work for me.
Actually, I forgot to mention to him that he needs to do the work BEFORE he gets stuck into the case :?

Anywho, the website is http://www.userviceit.com.au and this is what I'm ordering for my MY06 Wagon.

SUBARU LIBERTY WATER PUMP PWP3035 PROTEX
$61.38

SUBARU LIBERTY TIMING BELT KIT KTBA161 (09/03-07/07) DAYCO
$334.88

SUBARU LIBERTY FRONT BRAKE PADS DB1491 BENDIX CT
$58.15

SUBARU LIBERTY REAR BRAKE PADS DB1803
$37.75

SUBARU LIBERTY OIL FILTER Z436 RYCO
$8.04
Total: $500.20

$500 plus fluids, both engine fluids and human fluids (wait, that didn't sound right..? ) and that's one hell of a saving from the $2,000 Major service cost I reckon.

If you've got a tool handy friend and a bit strapped on cash it might be worth considering.

Cheers
Jack
