Hey guys,

I have a 2005 Subaru Liberty with a little over 100,000 on the clock. I have noticed lately when I pull up after driving it get a smell from the exhaust of rotten eggs (sulphur).
Last tank of fuel the smell was most noticeable with BP 91. I'm currently trying different fuels to see if it changes but thought I would ask to see if anyone has encountered a similar problem.
It could be the Cat Converters or a doggie O2 sensor. Getting about 600-650 per tank on 91.

Change to 95/98 RON and you will probably find the smell goes away.

I've used 95, but usually 98 in my 04 N/A and never had any issues

It's a sulphur build up in your cat from 91 as 91 has sulphur still evident in the fuel in low levels.. If you keep using 98 it should go away fairly soon. If it doesn't replace the cat. Maybe even try an upper engine cleaner that might help dislodge some of it.

As above
Sulphur Dioxide = Rotten Egg Gas
