What's the normal charge to supply and fit an O2 sensor - 07

Just wondering what the going rate is to supply and fit an O2 sensor (not sure if front or rear or both) to an 07 Liberty Auto?

Got a mate who got a quote from Subaru dealer to supply and fit the sensor for, get this.......$700!!!

So can you guys tell me what is a realistic price range to get this done?

Fit it yourself its only a 21mm spanner and a little but of elbow grease. Supply is like $200 each sensor. If you get a diagnostic done on it they will be able to tell you if it's front or rear

spend $20.
get the torque app for your phone and a bluetooth OBD dongle and check the sensor voltages yourself

cheers guys. I got a mate who has a laptop and tactrix cable who knows how to read this stuff. I may get him to check it out and we can diagnose from there.

How dangerous is it to drive the car with the CEL and cruise light flashing, until we find an alternate solution?

as long as it's behaving correctly, it's fine.

i managed to p!ss off my ECU a few weeks ago when camping and having to navigate a muddy paddock.
Single spinner action causes the ECU to believe the ABS has a fault so It throws a CEL when you try to use to cruise control, you get the CEL + cruise flash.

torque + dongle reads and resets the code and it goes away

Depends on how lazy the sensor is. My car has been running a lazy front sensor for 3 months every now and than the cruise light flashes and check engine light comes on. Simple reset of the ecu and its fine again. My car runs a bit fuelly though. Slightly over fueling but still getting 650kms out of the tank so all good.
