I drive a gen 3 liberty, and it's over 200,000k's has anyone done the major service? what were your prices if you have?
my car needs new sparks I'm pretty sure because over time it's not firing as strong and my belts are making squeaky noises and are really frale?

I hardly drive it and I'm going for my P's soon so I want to get it running smooth when I do get them
I called up one mechanic he said to just get a minor service done, but I'm not too sure about that
I was thinking just sparks, tbk, waterpump? and replacing the usual fluids and oil filter, but I'm no expert

cheers

200k will also need timing belt and idlers
good idea to do waterpump aswell
I'd also be doing full fluids, brake, clutch, boxes and diff's.
shop around for quotes though some charge like wounded bulls.

where are you located?

I'm in Melbourne, northern suburbs, but I'd go anywhere for a reasonable priced service

I'm about to do my 200k.
I'm getting, all belts, timing, sparks, oil, water pump, wheel balance, alignment.
I'm not doing anything with the brakes as they are all fairly new. And not bothering with diff fluids.
I'm also getting my engine mounts and tranny mounts checked and replaced if needed as I can hear some rattles.

200,000km Service should be a repeat of the 100,000km Service plus anything else you want or they find.

Are you doing most of the replacing yourself or are you just gathering parts for a mechanic?

I bought the car at 203000 and finally got money to service the car, so I never did a 100k service, have no idea on rough prices

Gathered parts, thinking of doing the sparks, and changing all the fluids, although the tbk and waterpump I have no idea how to fit them, and I don't want to risk it, is it possible to ask a mechanic to fit only the timing belt for me and waterpump?

definitely,
