Everyone's consumption seems fairly consistent over most libs. I guess the main factor is just the distance and time traveled.
I'm gonna try 98 and e10.. See what pros/cons it has for my driving habits. I've only ever used 95 and been pretty happy.

I've been running United E10 for quite a while in my 97 gen 2 RX, better for the environment is a plus but mainly because its always 3-4 cents cheaper then 91 Unleaded especially with 95 being around 10 cents dearer and 98 14 cents dearer than 91 (last I actually checked). According to a "my cars" app I have on my android HTC I'm getting between 9-10L/100kms on average. The longest distance I've gone before filling up is about 566kms, usually stopping for fuel with around 550 on the trip meter and filling about 55L which all adds up.

I filled up with BP 91 a few weeks ago and the economy was deffently worse by just looking at how many kms I'd done at different levels on the fuel gauge, so filled up with E10 again so far all is normal 550kms from a tank.

Sounds about right dude. I get an avg of 9.4/100km and if my maths serves me correct you should get around 700km per tank, yeah?

Wow after reading your comments and what your cars are averaging I think there is something wrong with mine. I average 350 kms on a full tank using 91 fuel. I do a bit better on the 95 fuel but this has me worried. Anyone know what it could be?

You are driving a Gen 3?

I get better economy with my Gen 4 than with my old Gen 3.

My girlfriend has a gen 3 2.0, and uses way more fuel to my 2.5 because the motor is always working so much harder. The 2.0 motors are also not as advanced.

Mine is a gen 2 and I always thought its because of the small fuel tank that it houses.

I'm getting around 650 per tank now that I've used the Subaru recommended upper cylinder cleaner and fuel additive.

My old 04 2.5i 5MT always running 95 fuel - According to display always got 9.2-9.4L. Never really went above 9.4 no matter how I drove. Mix of stop start and 80km/h cruising roads.

2 refills on 98 after the engine rebuild. run-in tune is a bit rich. not keeping the car at the same rpm for too long (accelerate, brake, accelerate, brake) even while driving hwy/fwy. driving in a lower gear than what I normally do

14.24 L/100km

Can only get better from here =)

I get a constant 7.2l/100km on the highway at 100km/h, around town it goes up to 8l/100km giving me 850kms from a tank so I'm happy with that from reading the others, it's a stock 04 2.5i 5sp sedan.

Grave dig!

I get more than that with a 650-odd kg trailer hanging off the back! On highway I can get around 700km to a tank (60L in the 2G Outback) without the trailer; best effort was Bright to Melbourne, via Beechworth &.... Echuca (yes, I took the long way home), around 710km. With the trailer it drops to around 430, although on one trip with a ripping tailwind I got it out to 460km. I don't do all that much city driving, so not really sure what it'd blow out to with all that stuff, but generally with mixed driving I'll get around 600.
