Matt was exactly is the CEL? and how do you go about disabling it?
need to know everything about this option, as its something i may have to consider!

will my car still pass the pits if i have a disabled sensor?

CEL stands for 'Check Engine Light', I am pretty sure it is disabled via tactrix cable and a computer program.

Pits would have no idea about it.

definately keen on knowing more about this, as it seems like an option i might end up doing if its affordable!

I can turn off specific Check Engine Light Codes, so turn off say the code you have but any other engine fault will still turn on the CEL for long term safety

mine comes up from time to time, i just clear the light with a scan tool and if it gets worse id disable it
