Main Vee-Puley Removal

Hi all,
Super quick question - how difficult is the main accessory pulley (the biggest one smack in the middle of the engine that drives the alternator, AC and power steering pumps etc) to remove? I think with the right tools it can be taken out without removing to much else, but I don't want to loosen any nuts and bolts if it's going to screw over anything other than the 2 vee-belts that run off it. I have looked (though probably not hard enough) and can't see how this main pulley attaches to the gears in behind the plastic cover that houses the timing belt etc.

Crank pulley. Held on by a 22mm bolt. Remove cooling fans an coolant overflow bottle for more room. If you have the tools and knowledge removing the radiator can make it easier to see and work. To crack off the 22mm there are a few options. Put a breaker bar on it and rest it against the chassis, crank the engine over 2-3 times. Or in a manual you can put the car in gear and crack it off by hand.

Sweet as....thanks dude. So removing the crank pulley shouldn't adversely effect anything else? (obviously if I left it off sh*t would go south haha).

Why are you removing it?
Pulling it off won't damage anything. It comes off for various repairs or service work.

Looooooong story but I have no plans to take it off at the moment - just curious as to what's involved down the track

Lol thank you rooby. I'm weighing up my options for getting the power from the electric motor into the drive train. It has to go through that pulley so if I can easily swap in a custom pulley it simplifies the whole process considerably.
