Nice.

Well when I tuned on the calculated load which is more than the actual load below 1.47g/s, the map ign still does not correspond. But I plan to relook at it again and some rom development. Just to busy and so far so good.

I know there is a limit. Engine load A limit is there. Will have to search for the B and see. Usually B is slight less. Will see in the coming days.

Its like Subaru make sure their cars lass long .lol

Engine Load A was at 4g/rev

E2TB101M 08 Liberty 2.5i 4EAT was:
<table name="Engine Load Limit B Maximum (RPM)" address="c2458">
<table name="Engine Speed" address="c2418" elements="16"/>
</table>

OK. I will added and see, if less than the 4g which is a far cry from the 1.45 limit, then Then the only way is to trick the ecu.

Thank you.

Just busy today baby sitting and dealiing with 2x. 2008 JDM Wrx 2.0 S-GT.

For all people that are interested in this post, or with the spectacular combination of Subarus and superchargers, you should check out all the photos and posts on the Raptor facebook page. It's loaded with car-porn.

Turner, aside from tuning.. Was the new map sensor plug and play? I am looking at some OEM wrx and sti sensors but I wasn't sure if they would fit or use the same harness.

Thanks

Sorry for the late reply, I got my "OMNI 3-BAR" map sensor and just compared pictures. They're easy enough to find and swap them over. West_minist wrote the required change into one of the ROMs while we were tuning.

Quick example I just googled:

I can say that v17b is probably the sweetest ROM you have ever sent me!
The car just rockets away in the lower RPM like never before, power between 2500-3500 is just perfect.
Short shifting under partial throttle is just awesome! Better then a WRX. It's like the engine reacts to every little input by the throttle so instantly and smoothly in the same way that larger NA engines do

Thank you.

Just a quick update on how things are going and to add to the above review. West_minist has gone through and re-tuned my setup with a few ROMs. At first things were a bit rough (as always) but now; the car is running sweeter then ever before.

There was always a slight feeling of un-tapped power in the lower rpm. The power just didn't feel as linear as a supercharged system should. Now it feels absolutely perfect, the car has never been so smooth in every regard e.g. on/off the power, shifting, throttle response, heel&toe.

It feels like the engine responds with zero lag to the throttle; as I squeeze it on the G-forces are immediately felt. The way the car pulls is so scary, even in 3rd@6000rpm there is still torque steer! With a little effort, it can be whipped out and then held in oversteer which is remarkable considdering it is still a stock diff setup (favouring understeer).

All in all: absolutely loving it! West_minist has done some truly amazing work that has once again blown all my expectations. This liberty pisses all over my Aunties MY12 WRX (she lives just around the corner). I will admit: it is more prettier then my car, and it is nice to be able to thrash the absolute nuts off it without risk of mechanical failure (naturally more "idiot-proof" then aftermarket performance)...but I am very much attached to my car after all the work I've done on it :D

This is a video from a few weeks back. The tune was a bit rough back then, is currently running significantly faster but a video is always nice.

A quick update for everyone. I am currently re-fabricating a massive new WTA intercooler to replace my current one. No pics yet, and it's hard to explain, but instead of the intercooler making a 90 degree bend into the intake, the new one CUTS OUT the silicone bend and part of the BOV pipe and makes a full U-turn. The cooling core is twice the size, yet with the modifications made it should fit perfectly...ish.

Also Raptor SC is balancing up the new top-of-the-line impellers, so I'll be sending my SC off to be upgraded.

I have been in contact with Rallispec and organised a "future" package including:
-Cosworth forged pistons
-Manley H-beam rods
-King XPG set of main rod bearings
-Subaru OEM crankshaft
-ARP head studs
-Intake/exhaust valves and valve guides (just the standard profile to run with current stage II SOHC)
-Engine gasket kit
-Upgrade to 12mm oil pump (can lubricate with 0W oil @ insane rpm)
-Motul break-in oil
-Evans performance coolant. A waterless high performance coolant that lasts the life of the engine and eliminates system corrosion.

Far far future - will go for the complete drivetain upgrade including clutch/flywheel, 6sp, LSD's, etc.

Then a nice little bumper sticker saying "built, not bought" haha
