Finished fitting the new intercooler, sorry about the crap picture (mobile upload). It has over twice the core size (tiny bit wider, twice as long and much thicker). The end tanks had to be chopped down to reduce width. Also the angle looks a bit funny due to silicone padding, and the way it's supported (allowing movement with the engine). So far no rubbing. Still tuning at the moment, but we've seen a massive reduction to intake temps and "cool-down" times...as would be expected

Custom build. It took a fair bit of work to fit, and it's a far cry from Raptor's "bolt on" packages.

If you're interested, I can let you know the IC that I purchased and the proceedure to cut down and fit it...there are several methods of re-arranging the inlet/outlet to fit various setups.

Yeah if you don't mind doing that, it would be much appreciated.
right, got the car back after an engine rebuild. Ended up going with the stageIII cams and they are pretty lumpy. It is on run-in tune at the moment so I can't revv it more than 4800... trying to keep the revvs between 2000 and 4000 and not staying on the same rpm for very long (which will no doubt annoy motorists around me). the exhaust note is much deeper, like you can feel the exhaust inside your body (on the plus side, you can now have a conversation in the car).
video soon.

Great to hear ur car back on the road!! Can't wait to see results and videos, I daresay ur itching to get it run-in and find out what it's really like.

Since going to the larger IC, I have noticed some sweet sweet changes. Still tuning to do (I have been busy doing other stuff, sent logs off today) but it feels like torque has greatly increased, it can pull much easier up hills, with car load of people, from low rpm/high gear, etc.

I'll piece together some pics that explain what I did (good old microsoft paint!!) and links.

G'day. New to the forum and just read your thread. Awesome idea and build mate. How is it going these days? Any probs? Any changes? I've got the same car and year in a wagon and I'm tossing up what to do.

Also west Minster are you still doing remote tunes? I have weekend driver for fun, but my daily 2.5 wagon is really unresponsive down low. I'm not after a massive power increase, just better bottom end. I've got an innovate lm 2 and was wondering if I could flash my Ecu through that from the obd connector to computer via the lm 2, or if I still need the tactic cable.
