Lol, interesting description. My housemate has an XR8, there's just something about that level of displacement.
Yah not good to hear about, but chances are the motor probs over-revved and something broke. Might get a compression test done just before the year is out, but my decision atm is to take the car off the road and worry about it after I get back from my snowboarding trip (Feb). And what will probably happen is that I'll end up doing all the engine work at the same time; heads, crank, retainers, cams etc.
Why just Stage II cams, why not Stage III?? I'm sure TWE had Stage III somewhere on their site.
