clutch pedal

hopefully buying a my 07 2.5ltr na sedan liberty early next week. i took it for a test drive and its feels like a heavy clutch or dual mass clutch but halfway out it sticks a little then springs back out. could this be a master cylinder. the previous owner said its been like that since his owned it for 3 years. what clutch are stock in my 07's sedans

Mine does the exact same.im going to ask about it on my 112500 service which is overdue. When I first got the car the clutch was hard, then I had to get a new flywheel in the gearbox and ever since the clutch has been really easy. Which i don't like. Good luck let me know if you find out!

Its probably just where the clutch is in its life. about half way through their life they get like that due to the diaphgram springs design.
