I got this same problem on my 05 liberty
Glad to kno it's nothing major and I can wait til I need a new clutch
My wife freaks out every time it happens
And it happens a lot since I encounter a lot of hill starts

a clutch kit with a single mass flywheel is around $900 for genuine. Plus about 3 hours labour, wherever you get it fitted.
