Or you can do what I did, and Spend $1000 on a Cold Air Intake, increase the cars performance by .9999999999999kw and make it run nice a easy on petrol around 8/9L per 100km. As well as making the car sound like darth vader in the mornings. Not to mention a nice 3.5" stainless steel pipe instead of the black plastic from factory.

Also before my CAI I bought a K&N panel filter, and the only change was the exhaust note(from non stock exhaust) changed, and was a little more like a boxer, then the CAI made the note a little louder, and lot more beefier.

I am totally happy with the whole CAI, its a little over the top sound wise, but hey I like it

Hardly seems worth it though considering i'm happy with the sound i'm getting on cold mornings now also. And you're right, the exhaust note on my non-stock exhaust changed a little bit even with a new filter!...

Stainless pipe would look nice under the hood though

The reason it was $1000 was for parts and labour mate, its a fully custom built intake, welded by Mick at techworks, the only none welded parts are the silicon pipe's joining the filter to the stainless and the stainless to the air intake.

Plus piping the vacum pipe's back into the system. So the car can start.
