Clutch for an '04?

I replaced my dual mass flywheel with the Subaru single mass set up. The cheapest quote i got was from Subaru (shocking i know!!) But still cost me $2200. From the sounds of it i may have got ripped off, but some of the other quotes were in the $3000+ region.

I dont hate the clutch although its a bit noisier than the dual mass. It sort of gives the car a growlier sound from inside the car.. so much so that people have been in my car and asked if i had a sports exhaust.

Alright, so the 'chirping' is nothing new to me, and neither is the first gear shudder. However, I've been experiencing slight shudder on the downshift and now it feels like the clutch pedal is grinding on something when I release the clutch! WTF?!?

It smells like some rubber is burning. Great start to the long weekend.
