Auto or Manual

auto 4sp 1st tops out way to early and then when it shifts to second god help me but misses WONT drive manual so auto for life (lucky me) i would be so much happier if 2nd and 1st met a little lower. Some hairpins i have to kick down to first but then its only for half a second before i gotta shift to second
