2.5i Luxury Versus Premium Packs

Postby Corsair » Thu Nov 17, 2011 4:41 pm

This has been slightly discussed elsewhere, but I am trying to find a definitive answer.

What's the difference between the premium and luxury packs?
I got this plan. It's called 'Save Ass'. And the way it works is this - I slip outta one of these windows and I run like a bastard!

Got this from Wikipedia:

Luxury Pack (in-dash CD Player, leather interior, power driver's seat, sunroof),
Safety Pack (dual front side and curtain airbags),
Premium Pack which is the combination of Luxury and Safety Packs.

anyone confirm? it seems spot on.

My understanding is that Premium has leather, tints, sunroof and airbags. Luxury has leather, tints and airbags and Safety has sunroof and extra airbags, but no leather. I thought they all came with in-dash CD players, but might be wrong. Still confused!

Is the stock stereo different too? 6 stacker in one & single stack in the other?

I've got a MY07 Premium, but no McIntosh stereo. I have got sunroof, leather, dual front airbags with curtains, and tinted/privacy glass windows.

Only the GT and 3.0 received the Mcintosh, at least in MY07 anyway.

All MY07 2.0 and 2.5 received a 6 stacker with MP3 and WMA compatibility.

Turbocharged, 2.5i Premium and 3.0 litre Libertys also get power driver’s seats with dual memory function and rear window tint (side and back).

Sat Nav was an option only on Premium 2.5i MY07, GT and 3.0. Or at least that's what the press release said.

Alright, so going from our own cars:

Arrow's got a Premium and that has sunroof, leather, dual front airbags with curtains, and tinted/privacy glass windows.
Jerred's got a Safety and that has sunroof and all the air bags. (I assume no leather/tints).

So, riddle me this, what's the 2.5i with memory seat, leather, tinted/privacy glass, dual front airbags with curtains, but no sunroof?
Is this the Luxury? Or just optioned?

Did premiums come with sunroof? I'm pretty sure they don't come with that standard so it would be a premium as it has the electric seat and privacy glass.
