Going back a few years I bought a new HSV GTS and I had lots of problems including having the engine replaced twice. I had the Victorian fair trading people involved (HSV were aholes about it all but Holden were good) but the bottom line was that I was stuck with the car and all its problems, aside from a new engine (which from past experience I didn't trust). I basically had the choice of keep it and hope or sell it for a massive loss. I had no confidence in the car and still had problems with the clutch which had been there since new (despite being "fixed" by the dealer 13 times) so I traded it.
It seems that Fair Trading are pretty useless. I wanted a partial refund on the car, in proportion to the use I had from it, or at least to trade it back to the dealer for the Glasses Guide value but I could not force them to do either.
That was also why I bought a Subaru, I wanted reliability. In the 3 1/2 yrs I have had it is has been faultless.
Good luck.

At the end of the day Subaru is covering their obligations on repairs and at such time they refuse to repair you don't really have a case hence why you have to be vigilant on having EVERYTHING written down, even times you have called and had to wait for a call back. Time, date and what was spoken.

At this stage you have two options.
1. Suck it up and keep getting it fixed under warranty as faults occur
2. Sell the car at a loss to you.
Also, washed for 2 hrs every 4 days? most people dont find 1 hr a week to be able to wah their car.
We all drive our cars spiritedly so you may aswell say it, may have been part of the cause of one of ur bearings going...

I know its an inconvenience to get it fixed all the time but you cant expect subaru to.just give you a new car or pay you back everything you paid for the car.
Also, i dont think contacting fair trading is going to do much as like i said above, subaru are honoring their warranty.
So as i said above, you still only have two options...
Sorry if they dont appeal to you, but im being realistic here.
