Gear knob for 5 speed MY08 2.5i's

Hey guys...

Is there a name or id number for the size/thread pattern for gear knobs that will fit this model?

Or will most brands come with adaptors to fit our cars?

Any tips on what to look out for so they fit?

Buy a Subaru specific 5MT gearknob it'll have the ridge on the bottom edge to clip your shiftboot onto. Generic ones even if the thread fits will otherwise not hold the boot up. Generic ones which have an interference fit (not threaded) such as Momo etc are the worst they will move around.

If you want a generic threaded then buy M12x1.25.
