Flywheels.... turbo-N/A differences??

Postby nvmylh » Fri Jun 11, 2010 10:47 am

Hi all, I've been googling a million pages trying to find the differences between the turbo and n/a subaru flywheels (apart from dual mass wheels)
So far i've found that "there should be no differences between ej20/25 FW's except for 6MT vs 5MT"
BUT does anyone know if this includes N/A's??
Or does anyone know the diameters of ej20/25 n/a FW's?
1994-2005 WRX's ive found are 230mm

Im trying to find if I can use a wrx flywheel and maybe an n/a clutch to replace the dual mass crap in my ej25 sohc foz as wrx FW's seem easy to find.. cheers in advance!

Clutchpro commonly sell a kit to convert the DMF into solid flywheel. The whole kit flywheel + clutch plate etc is around $750.00. The flywheel is mildly lightened as well.

Try to search in Clutch pro website.

They sell Dual Mass flywheel or conversion to Single mass flywheel.

SMF would weight only 6.3 kilo's.

Thanks

ok, so I rang this ClutchPro place, they told me that the N/A clutches cannot be used with turbo subaru flywheels.. different bolt pattern. also the hole turbo flywheel and clutch cant be used as they are pull-type clutches and the n/a's are push (or might be the otehr way around...)
