Hello:

Is there anyone who would be interested in having their 2.0R tuned?

I have tuned many of NA's and I know the restrictions on these cars. My car is also a 2.0R :) I also tune many 3R, so again, I am no stranger to NA tuning. Just tuning the DBW makes a big difference. viewtopic.php?f=16&t=7207

I have a great tuning back ground (4+ years) in Subaru's and would like to offer alternative tuning to the local tuning community.

I am based out of Barbados and been performing remote tuning around the world, from Australia to Canada. My service offers complete custom tuning for your car. No based maps. I tune more than boost and Ignition, as you will see there. If you research online my name west_minist, you will see alot of my work, even AVCS tuning that has help many tuners to review tuning these maps.

To review some of the models I have work on, but not limited to what is show there, please visit the following link http://www.xtremeracingtuning.com/forum ... um.php?f=8

I have great wonderful customer responses that I try to achieve great results and after service. To review those comments, please visit http://www.xtremeracingtuning.com/forum ... m.php?f=48

I have build up a time of trust, that today I am happy that no customer have ever have to wonder about payment of service and completing of tuning.

To review my work on this forum, just search for my name or go here viewtopic.php?f=16&t=7207 , where you are branch to many other areas on the forum.

Thank you very much and I look forward to interesting parties.

A few questions:

How much would it cost
How much of a performance difference can be expected
How exactly do you 'remote tune'... What is required on our end?

Cheers

Cost would be $450AUD and if you need DWB tuning to your specs, thats an additional $150AUD. The major additional cost is that you will need the tactrix cable.

viewtopic.php?f=53&t=7798

1) DBW tuning will effect throttle usages, making the throttle a lot more linear and responsive.
2) Improving fueling will allow greater low to mid end power.
3) AVCS tuning, greater low to mid range response.
4) Stabilising the ign on pump fuel, makes a more consistent car with power

Those are just a few of changes that can enhance the car.

You get the cable. You log and send me the logs. I tune the rom and send it back to you, for which you upload it to the car. The process starts all over again. Please read this topic - viewtopic.php?f=16&t=7207&start=0

I hope the following helps.

2.5i tuning results:- viewtopic.php?f=15&t=13414

Guys, I know you may figure what the gains would be, but I have a 2R just like you that is my daily drive, Very nice I must say. Been years I wanted to drop the Hydra EMS in it to tune it, since the ECU is not tunable - 2000 JECS model.

So again, if you are interested, please pm me or email me at info@xtremeracingtuning.com

I have a 2.0R customer who I have been trying to convince you to tune his Raptor SC 2.0R, but he is stubborn or something and not getting anywhere with him

He is currently running some piggyback with plenty issues - its not a Raptor system as such

Ah ok. It seems the 2R maybe using the Hitachi ECU. No support from EcuFlash.

You realize this Toyota/Subaru FT86 is gonna need some serious tuning - Subaru 2.0 engine with Toyota D4S direct fuel injection

What possible damages could arise from tuning the ecu wrong? I may be interested as I would like a little more power and response but not really willing to risk possibility of needing a new engine.

Well you may not understand, but tuning any car on pump gas will mean ignition reduction and reducing some fuel since Subaru runs rich.

But if tuned wrong, you can damage the engine.

For me, I am just interested to see what the 2.0R can do, since I have one from Year 2000 where I cannot tune it.

I am experience in tuning the WRX, STI, 2.5i, 3.0R. The 2.0R will be no different.

Can everyone check their ECU covers and tell me if there are all Hitachi's?

Ok. The Hitachi ecu's are not supported by ECUFlash unfortunately, which is sad.

I guess my question should be who have Denso ECU's.
