Save your money, you can get a panel filter, exhaust and whatever but it's going to give you next to nothing but noise. There is no secret upgrade for the 4cyl NA's. Just have to live with it.
On the other hand, you can upgrade your suspension, with stiffer springs, better struts, swaybars etc etc and get more power in the corners...

This has been asked many times before, but with a small cube NA motor your options are pretty slim without spending big bucks and/or turning it into a bad-mannered hand grenade. Get a decent exhaust, free up the intake with a good quality filter, maybe get an ECU tune if you want, then leave it at that. You might get a few extra horses but don't expect miracles.
If you're not planning on replacing the car any time soon and you're really just after something that's fun to drive, personally I'd focus on tyres, suspension/handling, braking and, most importantly - driver training. Make the most of the power you have and you'd be surprised how much quicker you'll be than plenty of people in higher-powered cars, especially on tighter tracks.
Edit: beaten lol

If you can't go faster, might as well make it 'feel' like you're going faster with a bit stiffer suspension.

Plus one to that. You don't need a fast car to attack corners at speed.
Work on that ride setup...

i have a 2007 lib 2l n/a as well man, listen to everyone else hahaha.
i threw a K&N pannel air filter on mine and it does nothing but give it some voice. Buying a decent set of coilovers will help alot! ive been looking for coilovers for ages but cant seem to find a decent set for under 2k.
suspension
upgrade your brakes
better tyres
= WIN.

Why not retune?

I would definitely go for a retune to get more power and a more responsive throttle. I just recently
completed a retune of my MY08 2.5i with amazing results, and I'm completely stock.
OK, it's not a 2.0, but you should get similar results percentage-wise.
At the very least get yourself a Tactrix cable and tweak your DBW tables using RomRaider or similar to bring on stock power earlier in throttle application.
