Does anybody actually click on these links or buy something from these spammers?

They are primarily for key logging to capture peoples WoW passwords and sell off all their items then use the accounts for bot farming.

But yes people do also pay real money for WoW gold, someone once stole and then sold their guild bank's money/items for around $4000 USD.

its all a ploy to get us ex wow players thinking about wow again.

I quit twice, sold my accounts for around $900 both times. But this time I'm done for good, been over a year since I have played.
Plus who needs WoW when you have a car taking up all your time.

Kieran, did u pay for the account or anything? Otherwise 2 x $900 profit would be nice for playing a computer game.

i stopped 11 months ago but i cant be bothered selling my account, plus i dont want it banned just in case


even if the game was free to install, the $15 a month subscription and the large amounts of time required to get an account to that value would make the return rather poor. by large amount of time i mean a good 15 days played (if by yourself) to get to the highest level add a fair bit more to get the equipment.

however people do get paid to do just that for 10c an hour in places that run these spam ads.

I believe over the 2 accounts I had somewhere in the vicinity of 250-300 days played. Yes you read that right, DAYS, as in 24 hour days.
About a 10c per hour "job" lol, but I did it for the fun of it not to make any money, just both times I quit I decided to sell the accounts to prevent me from going back to the game! Still the best game I have ever played though....and also the worst, too addictive.
