What is your budget??? I'd suggest going to as many shops as you can and taking a listen to as many speakers you can and then go from there. We can't tell you what sounds good to you. If your looking at entry level equipment then I'd budget $200 for speakers, $200 for materials (cable, sound deadener etc) and probably $150 to install = $550 or if you want to tackle the install yourself then you can budget $350 for speakers which will get you a nice set of splits. Installing speakers is relatively easy but if you want to pay the money to have them installed then IMO steer clear of installers from JB Hifi and Strathfield, they will do a sh1t job.

Whats the best thing to use to fill the access holes and make spacers for speakers if I have to? I cant seem to find anyone near me who sells foam sheets.

Spacers go either MDF or the plastic cutting boards.

Foam sheets can be found at Clark Rubber.

You will want something that will make as solid a seal as possible, so I would go with MDF. Don't forget to seal it with water resistant resin or similar to protect it from the elements.

So you're telling me the cardboard baffle we made and cut out, and balmed with duct tape, is no good to the elements? :alcoholic:
