No, but most of us on this forum are quite brand whores. :D

Come on! Blitz! One can brag about running Blitz gear on the car even though it is just the cabin filter.

Thanks Leo for the walkthrough, came in very handy via iPhone in the car today!!

Quick question for people that have installed the blitz filter?
- Blue stuff on top?
- Foam ends front to back?

That's how I put mine in anyway, so the lines on the bottom looked the same as the OEM one that came out. Probably have done it 100% backwards :D

It was disgusting and I doubt it had ever been done. Will breathe much easier now and no more fog I'd say!

EDIT: Blue goes to the bottom and looks like the foam was right, so 50% wrong. Should look like this:

Just cleaned out the cabin filter. it only took 30 secs to get out.
I reckon there is about 10hp gains in it.

Just cleaned current one out atm but needs to be replaced. Now i know what high fan speed really is.

Are you talking about the stock cabin filter? Because that's not meant to be re-usable.

When I took my cabin filter out after noticing a pretty strong smell, it was filthy after about 50,000 k's. Being the knob head I am, thought I'd try to wash it out and put it back in....big mistake. Every time the AC went on it smelt like a fish had died in the air vent. Replaced it with a Blitz one from PHAT, smell is gone & air con is putting out atleast 15kw more because it's Blitz

If you find your Blitz one smelling a little damp, do that trick where you chuck it on full blast with max heat + AC for few minutes or so then back to max cold for a couple of mins.
At least I think that's the method, I did it the other day and it worked. Someone posted it somewhere on this forum, can't remember where.

Cheers Kieran. Haven't had that problem yet, but any idea what causes it to smell funny? Does AC gas go off at all? or is it just moisture getting into the filter somehow?

Never trust a dealer or AutoLeaders. Decided to follow the walk through. For some reason there is always something different. Anyway, easy enough to do. Pulled out the filter tray......NO FILTER. It was supposed to have been changed 50,000 km ago, hard to take it back after 3 years.....We all learn, I just hope that no damage to the system has occcured over that time!
