I was going to get one, as group buys for the lib guys have been had on here before.

I don't like the fact that it looks like you have a sideways mobile phone on your dash that just looks crap.

I like the look of the screen etc but the casing I believed could be changed to make it integrate with cars better.

DashDAQ Series II - and now that they've finally released a firmware with metric and fixed a few bugs...it might start becoming less annoying to use :)

It's expensive compared to the other units listed here but it has potential with respect to other functionality that could be added in future...whether that's realised or not is a whole other matter

Yeah I liked the DasDaq but at about $800 AUD I would not spend that much.

I am however looking at the PLX Gauges OBD 11 DM200.

Pretty schmick looking piece of gear. Please add it Ric.

Hi all,
Just a quick update regarding the ECUDatascan. It now comes with a built in USB module, so you can use it as a USB datacable now too

Thanks,

The ECU Datascan may do the job similar to the others, but I believe it looks cheap compared to others, and doesn't suit the Gen IV lib's.

As I was used to using laptop installed scanning tools as my previous ride was an AUDI A4, I went looking for similar types of tools for the Subaru.

I ended up purchasing a USB ODBkey from ->

http://www.obdkey.com/

Worked out to be approx. $171 AUD shipped from UK to Oz.

Does the job for me.

nice find

Can you give details on what it can monitor ie I'm keen to track my AFR settings can it do this?

And is your car a MY07?

Cheers

That looks interesting, but their site is pretty average.

Does it log things like knock correction and is the data stored in csv or similar type files that you can read?
