Headed off towards Ballarat, but swung north through Creswick and Clunes (coffee & cake in Clunes), Maryborough and Avoca (light lunch at a winery near Avoca), then St Arnaud (useless tourist information, couldn't tell us how to get to the two things that looked worth going to see), then on to Donald.
Maryborough has the biggest railway station in Victoria outside Melbourne
Nice riverside motel in Donald (with free wifi!
enjoying some wine we bought at Red Bank winery near Avoca
and some historical buildings right over the road from the motel to have a look at
