The good ol' days!

Postby matt » Thu Aug 06, 2009 2:30 am

Hey all, i was goin through some old boxes in the shed the other day and found these photos of an old car i used to own about 10 years ago! I know its not a lib, or even a subi, but i used to love it all the same! I had this when i was about 18 or 19, so needless to say it didnt get treated with much respect! any ways i thought id post them up just for fun! Its an XC fairmont 351 C4 with a 9" mini spool! And i found out when i blew my first diff (for this car anyway), that the rear breaks didnt actually work! Hence the awesome burn outs!! Enjoy!

Matt - I had a very similar car as my first one! A XC Falcon 500 though! Ol' tanks! No power steering, drums, winder windows, no air con but I was luck enough to have a tape deck! Oh, and a rear demister!

Beautiful car! :good:

I have a soft spot for those cars - especially the GXL 5.8. Even better in a Coupe!

Thanks for sharing mate.

yes they are pretty cool, i love the coupes too, tough as nails! fortunately i had power steering, disc on the front (eventually had them on the rear when i decided to fix them, but it wouldnt do burnouts with them!) air con, and a CD player! and yeah unfortunately had to physically wind the windows up and down! geez thats a hassle nowa days!

Here are a couple of my "old days" shots. Owned my XD as my 2nd car, 11 years ago now.
Admittedly she didnt do as big a skid as your XC :(
250 X-Flow
Dropped 2"
16" wheels
extractors
3sp auto
Big doof-doof that caused permenant hearing damage! LOL

This was the last ford I owned approx 2 years ago - did much better skids ;) (although no photo's to prove it)
