Guys.

Just wanted to post up some pics of my other pride and joy.

Image

For those that don't know its a VC HDT Commodore and its build number 456 out of 500.

It's getting a bit of a freshen up so to speak at the moment and has taken a back seat since we bought the Liberty.

Its been a long time since I've driven it and I miss it like crazy, but anyway, all good things come to those who wait.

Some old pics and some newer pics.

The Simmons are the wheels fitted to it at the moment.

Hope you guys like them.

Nice. VC HDT? A broad guess I'd say somewhere between 50 and 200k depending on condition

Like I said. It was a broad guess. Personally if I was looking for an example (and I had the cash) I'd be prepared to pay around $50k for one with low original km's. I wouldn't be surprised though if an auction situation saw the price bumped much higher. I don't think collectors would go as high as $200k in an auction though

Very nice mate, clean white lines.

Haven't seen mags like that going around lately (the Simmons, big fan of them when I was younger..... especially in gold). She looks in great condition too. (I mean the car)

Guys, just to clarify, the lovely lady in the third pic was a friend of the mate who took the photo's.
So please keep the ride jokes to a minimum, as the Mrs may read this thread.

Thanks for the replies and I'll post up some more photo's for you all soon.
Maybe even a few more with the lovely Melanie.

Cheers.

Superb piece of Australian automotive machinery you've got there!

I know some people don't want to talk about such classics so I'll only ask about what you've done to it since you've had it and what's planned for the freshen up?

Love it - well done! :D

I've owned it since May 1995 and have modded and played with it the whole time I've owned it.
I've tried very hard to keep it looking original on the outside except for the wheels as I'm not a big fan of the original Irmscher rims.

It's an original 4 speed manual but now has a Tremec 5 speed installed, and has had a few little tweaks to the brake's and suspension all in the name to make it alot safer on the road.

New mods under way include a pretty serious 355 stroker which should produce around 480 - 500hp, a heavily modded 9" diff and a few more suspension and brake mods including 4 piston calipers front and rear, as stopping and turning is just as important to me as going fast.

I have kept every original part that has been replaced or changed on the car (engine, gearbox, brakes etc) so if I ever choose too I can convert it back to original or as close to it as possible, as these cars are more desirable in original condition.

Thanks again for all the replies guys.

Cheers.
